Would you like to financially support Bend Forest School? If so, we'd deeply appreciate your contribution, and be delighted to have you join us in fulfilling our mission. Your support will grant more children within our community the opportunity to participate in our program and experience a strong connection with themselves, each other, and the natural world. There are several ways to help. Please see the options below to assess which works best for you.

A goal of ours is that all children & families who would like to participate in our program have the access to do so. Through our scholarship program, donated funds will go towards paying partial or full tuition for families who need the financial support. As a result, donations to our scholarship fund will also greatly support both the expansion and diversification of our program.

In order to expand our program to include primary grades and serve a wider, more diverse population of our Central Oregon community, we need funding to acquire the following:

  • 12-15 passenger van (to accommodate to & from school transportation needs for a broader demographic, reduce traffic, and allow for field trips)

  • 26 ft. yurt for our 1st/2nd grade indoor classroom

  • 27 ft. tipi for our Kindergarten indoor classroom

  • funding for JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion) teacher trainings and a program consultant(s)

  • the hiring of additional teachers to accommodate children with special needs who benefit from one-on-one support

  • classroom supplies and materials for Kindergarten and 1st/2nd grades

  • land for a permanent school location

  • composting toilet

Our qualified, committed, and passionate educators deserve to be rewarded for the important, life-changing work they do for the children in our program. Our low teacher to child ratio is one of our most valued core attributes as an early education program, therefore financial support to ensure the continuation of livable salaries for our teachers is essential. As a program rooted in being mindfully inclusive, we also prioritize the ability to provide additional teacher support when needed, and funding to continue to do so is of the utmost importance to us. We believe attentiveness, consideration and support for our teachers are vital components in nurturing our low teacher to child ratio, thus any additional support from our community is greatly valued.
